vista oem activation limits?

As long as you don't make any significant hardware changes its as much as you want, at the worst you may have to phone Microsoft to get them to reactivate it for you.
 
so how do they know if i've changed my mobo then since my last reinstall/activation?

they only know you've changed something. so if u activate by phone its just on your honests
