Just interested to know what other people have found with Vista.
I did a fresh install and updated, then did all the tweaks listed at OCZ forum thread. I did NOT install a RAM drive and the Visual Effects adjust for best performance option.
Then I got Process Monitor v2.04 and changed it show only File System Activity (group of 5 icons, depressed means active) and applied a filter (using funnel style icon) for Operation is WriteFile. Even idle at desktop there was continual periodic writing by svchost, etc.
