Vista & Orange Livebox

Trying to setup a new lappy with an exsisting Livebox system.

I've pressed the pairing button, the light is flashing, but the lappy doesn't detect any networks in range.

Is the Livebox fussy as to the aireless adapters it will work with? Or should i jusy go a buy a router and take the Livebox out of the equation?

Ignore me, i'm a noob. Turns out there is a switch on the bottom of the front panel to physically turn off the wireless adapter.
