Im trying to install adobes pdf reader but i keep getting this error, tried installing as admin aswell :s

And this is because you've turned UAC off...

Turn it back on. Using TweakUAC to remove the prompts is a better course of action than disabling altogether, anyway.

Ive turned UAC because it sucks and is to intrusive, is there a way to installl this app without turning UAC on ?

*edit*
Im not looking for tips on uac or tweak programs for vista , id just like to be able to install this app.

when setup gets stuck at the prompt above, browse to your temp folder and copy/paste the adobe reader setup folder to another location. now cancel the error prompt and you can run setup from the files you copied a minute ago. :)

You could try the alternative which is better imo.

Google 'Foxit'.... not sure if it works in Vista, as i'm not running it... worth a look though.

Thanks for the recommendation. I HATE Adobe products with a passion.

Works fine in vista too. :)
