Question for Vista users please.

I stumbled accross the fact that Vista's photo management program can do image cataloguing with keywords etc.

So I gather you can attach a number of keywords to a photo. Do these keywords somehow imbed into the file or does this sit at the PC end? The reason I ask is that I have 3 pcs but one PC manages the photos...is it possible to do the keywords from one PC, but other PC's (that would also run Vista) read these keywords in searches? This is assuming of course the images are on a shared drive/NAS.

If so, that would make my life loads easier!

Anyone know this off the top of their heads or own a couple of networked Vista PCs to check it for me? I would really appreciate it!

Be aware that if you use Vista for gaming, it's nowhere near as good as XP. It is getting better with newer drivers, etc, but I'd do some research on games you play, and weigh up the pros and cons of switching.

If you don't use it for gaming, or the ones you do play are fine with your hardware then go for it, I'm finding Vista a very nice O/S. That being said, I'm one of the few that liked Windows ME :D

There are a lot of problems with older hardware, and some new hardware. The creative sound cards don't function properly, and Creative seem very tight lipped on a solution (basically they can't fix it so I think they'll release a new card that supports Vista fully [or vice versa] or wait until the next version of Windows comes out). Some motherboards with the Nforce chipset have nightmare issues with Vista too.
