Mate of mine (who is very computer illiterate) is writing up some coursework and has Microsoft word on Vista. She is trying to insert a special character (in this case its a book) into a piece of work she is writing.
She has found this in the help section
For each mention of a special character such as a book or telephone, insert the appropriate symbol into the text – you should find eight. (If you cannot find, e.g. the symbol for clubs (§), find an alternative and change the text as appropriate.) but cant find where this is or how to do it.
Does anyone have any ideas, shes not registered on here, but I said id ask you lot on her behalf.
