Vista snipping tool

Can someone please tell me what this tool is? :D
It's a new tool for doing print screen-type operations. It has all sorts of fancy functions and it seems to nicely outpace OS X's Grab utility.

I wish its free-form snips were transparent pngs. Can they be?

It's not there, wonder why I don't have it. I did turn some Windows features off but just had a look and can't find any references to SnippingTool.

Mine didn't appear by default, but I tracked it down to:

C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-tabletpc-snippingtool_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16386_none_cd7c35de0fd57264

This made me think it hadn't been installed. If you go to control panel and enable tablet PC features, it should install. More likely is that I disabled all tablet functions.

Looks a neat little program.

I'd much prefer a sniping tool.

"Oy, pikies, get the **** away from my milk"

That's raised an interesting topic in my mind - "misinterpretations of Vista's speech recognition".
