Vista Speed Boost!!!

An extra reason to use this is if your pc has maxed out the available memory slots, it's an easy way to add extra headroom.. I've stuck my completely spare 1Gb usb stick in and leave it there all the time, it certainly does improve boot speed etc :)

Flash sticks have been common place for what, 3-5 years now? In that time I can honestly say I've never heard anyone say "Oh my flash stick just died :(" ;)
Surely that's because, if you use them to move files etc then you're never going to reach that MTBF, but if you have something like, for example, a swap file on the drive I'd imagine you'd kill it relatively quickly. It's the reason that all the 'run windows from a USB drive' projects either get rid of the swap file completly or don't have it on the drive.

All computer products have MTBFs... TFTs, CRTs, HDDs......

I guess you don't hang around much in the general hardware forums then...
