I started into computers when windows XP had been out for a while and i have an idea what the prices range from but noticing that vista will be coming out sometime.
when is the release date for vista at the moment?

And how much do you think the prices will range from?

I would like to get Vista when it comes out but being a noob i dont want to think its gona be £60 and find its much much more.

well if you cant wait then you can download a Beta version from the microsoft website. however it is very unstable as i have been using it. I would recomend setting up a dual boot system so you have xp still.

to be honest there wont be any point in 'upgrading' to vista as software for it will be few and far between for a good 3 months after its launch.

I found that next to nothing worked on Vista, kept crashing out.

January 07 for Vista last i heard, although i have heard April as well, but MS said January.

It'll be out Q1 2007 if it does not get bumped back again. Expect DX10 video cards and DX10 games to follow almost immediately.
