Hey guys back in 2003/2004 I made several websites with visual studio and Ms SQL. Which where great and so easy to build. Using this book http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/displayProductDetails.do?sku=4249003.

I'm taking it visual studio 2008 will be much easier to use and much more powerfull. But is there any books that take you through step by steb to build such a dynamic website using all the new tools?

Is there many different versions of visual studio and if so what are there limits?

Also can you still get a copy of MSsql free for personal use with out any tools?

It also allows you to select the target framework version (though admittedly I'm not sure if the same is true of the express editions).

It is possible to target different versions of the framework with the Express editions.
Once you have your website right click on the project file and choose Property Pages.
Under the Build section you can choose the framework to target.
