Vive delivery dates

If you ordered through HTC you won't get a delivery date until the unit has shipped.
 
I'm waiting for a call back from HTC regarding what batch I am in, hopefully within the first batch as I got the order confirmation at 15:09.
Apparently it's shipping from the US and not Ireland. I would hope with the crazy delivery cost, it's coming by FedEx next day delivery, or something similar at least.

Edit:
Just had the call, first batch, being sent by DHL Next Day service, so should be with me in 1 day from dispatch. So hopefully on the 5th it'll be on my doorstep!

Based on your confirmation time you will most likely, like 99% sure be in the first wave of deliveries which will start on April 5th. Basically you will have your Vive by the end of that week at the latest.

When I spoke to the guy on the phone, he didn't think it was coming from the US. So I've seen conflicting reports as to where it's coming from. It may come from the US a few days prior maybe, who knows.
 
This thread is not good for my nerves. I'm old enough to know better about getting excited about new tech until it's sat on the desk in front of me! I did order in the first 10 mins though so will post if I get any updates myself.
 
I sent HTC support a webmail from the link on my pre order email.
They got back to me and said -

"Dear customer,
You've contacted the customer service of eXpansys.
Until recently we also handled HTC orders via the official website.
Now we have completed our partnership and the mentioned order was not placed through our services."

however, at the bottom of the email was a little chain between HTC support functions, and this little titbit was at the bottom -

"Order Summary:
Product SKU: 99*******-00
Product Name: VIVE Kit - April Shipment Part 1 - UK
Qty Ordered: 1
Amount: £574.17
Shipment Tracking Numbers:"


I started the order process at 15:03, but didn't complete until about 15:17 (I wanted to read the cancellation terms first).

Can't wait, if only Nvidia would show their hand with Pascal, looks like I'm going to have to plump for a 980TI sooner rather than later.
 
If you want to check, I called 020 3684 5000 on Saturday, which is HTC Technical support line, and they made a note somewhere and I got a call back today with the batch I was in. As today is a normal working day, they may be able to transfer you right to the correct department. They seemed like they were pretty use to calls regarding the Vive already lol.
 
Seems there is an easy way to check on this now:

  1. Go to this link : https://shop.eu.htc.com/DRHM/store?...tcemea&Locale=en_IE&ThemeID=39873600&Env=BASE
  2. Fill your order number only (don't put your e-mail)
  3. Choose "Shipping Question"
  4. Choose "When will my order arrive?"
  5. Submit
  6. Check your mails. You will receive a mail named *Re: ShippingQuestion - ArrivalDate - *

Email arrived about 30 seconds later containing the follwoing
Order Summary:
Product Name: VIVE Kit - April Shipment Part 1 - UK
Qty Ordered: 1
Amount: £574.17
Shipment Tracking Numbers:

Where did you find the link btw? The amount seems off doesn't it? Or is that pre tax and delivery etc? Doh! Of course it is:)
