VLC issues maybe?

Hello,

I use VLC to watch everything, i have my TV connected to my PC as well as a second monitor, now the issue I'm having is whenever I open VLC to watch stuff it seems to open up on any of the 3 and I have no idea if this is something that I can prevent or not. I'm not sure of its a setting in VLC itself or not, I'm not even sure if it can be stopped, does anyone know how to make it open up on my TV at all times when its turned on, otherwise i want it to open up on my main monitor.

It remembers where it was last opened AFAIR.

You could make it open up on a certain monitor using Ultramon or something similar.

My friends have said this too, it just never seems to do that for me.

I think it might do that if I'm only using my 2 monitors though, just as soon as i put my TV on that's when it randomly puts it on any screen.

When I used to use it to watch movie on my TV I would close I would forget and close it on my TV and later in the day I would open it on my PC but I could not see the player as it was still on my (powered off) TV.

I had to get into habit of dragging it back to monitor before closing it after watching movies.

As you say it may be due to the 3 screens.

I have moved away from using VLC since the vulnerability was exposed. I don't believe its even been patched yet
