Hmm rather annoying..

When I'm watching something on VLC, the screensaver keeps coming on.

Anyone know how to disable it? (and not by disabling the screensaver)

I'm using Windows Vista, I've had this problem before and it's just gone away on it's own but it's not doing that this time

Should be the same for Vista as for XP. Run VLC. Go to Settings>Preferences. At the bottom of the window check the "Advanced options" box. Then go to Video. Under the "General video settings" are a list of checkboxes. The bottom one should say "Disable screensaver". Guess what you do here.:p

Weird was ticked as default, unticked it and reticked hopefully will work now then.

Cheers!

(Will be back here moaning if it doesn't work when I watch Two and a Half Men later) ;)

LOL. Got a thread notification in Thunderbird with your idea and by the time I got the page reloaded, just seconds later, you'd changed your post. Kudos for speed of editing.:D

I'd just disable the screensaver, but hey, what do I know ;)
I know! but I'm always scared someone will come on my PC if I fall asleep!
So I always have the prompt for password come up after the screensaver gets interupted.

Wouldn't want my parents or anyone else roaming around my PC or my MSN :p

Just Windows key + L to lock PC without needing a screensaver. Course you need to be a skilled sleepwalker/doer to manage this whilst achieving a state of REM. ;)
