VLC Plugin to record a stream?

Hey guys

Is it possible to record an audio stream which is playing via VLC at all?

My mate is a DJ and he streams his mixes, but I want some way to save/record his mixes.

I aint got a clue, and he is very much limited with his PC knowledge in general. He doesn't know how to save his mixes either. This is the stream he uses. http://s2.secondstreams.com:8222/

Between us, we have no idea.

Open the stream as a network stream then go to Media --> Convert/save --> select location then save it, thats the only way i know how to save it to hdd.

Used to use Super MP3 recorder for this sort of thing. Worked a treat but not free mind.

Audacity can likely do exactly what you want, with a lot less memory use.
