VM folding help

is it possible that anyone could help me, i have been trying to install a folding client on my server but with no luck.
the server has a base OS of Debian linux and is running windows in a VMware machine. i have never yet been able to get a F@H client working.
it installs ok and seems fine untill i open it up, it just wont work and i have no idea why. is there any trick to installing clients in VM's like this?
if it comes down to it i will just install the client in debian.

Which folding client is it that you're trying to install?

If it's a CPU client, particularly if it's the SMP client, then you'll get better results just running it on Debian. The SMP client is faster and more stable on Linux than on Windows. Many people run Linux VMs on top of Windows for precisely this reason.

ok i will go with that then. i may need help setting it up in linux tho so i will probably be back soon
