VM Server issues with startup

Hello there.

I recently installed VM Server to create three virtual machines for some of my needs.
However, since I have installed this software Windows starts up MUCH more different.
I've noticed that everything loads up nice and fast, however for the first minute or two, my firewall and anitvirus wouldn't load (Kaspersky Security Suite 6.0) and my network locations wouldn't load after a few minutes either.

I know it's VM Server because it only happened when I installed it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are the VMs starting up at the same time? Your AV might be scanning the vhd files as they are coming into use, thus slowing down everything (scanning a 2gig+ file can take a while). Try adding them to the ignored files list in your AV.
