Hey All!

Today i need a build, for its main use to be VMWare and that will be its only use at all! My budget is £500 i need an SSD for sure, and 16gb RAM would be great!
AMD or INTEL not fussed, got Windows and all Peripherals!

Any help is appreciated!

How much vmware will you be using as this will dictate which/how many cores are needed?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (HX316C10FBK2/16) £119.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £109.98
1 x Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower Enthusiast Case without Window £79.99
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-4 Quad Core 4300 3.80GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £73.99
1 x Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £50.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £49.99
1 x MSI HD 5450 1024MB GDDR5 Low Profile PCI-Express Graphics Card £19.99
Total : £514.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

The case is personal choice but for the price point its features/space and HDD options are very good it even has a fan hub built in to control the cooling on your system (also it has 2 usb 3.0 ports) you will probally need to add on an INTEL NIC (couldnt find one on here but can be sourced cheap enough) since a lot of vmware dont like other NIC'S.

You could save money here and there smaller ssd and psu and such.

simlar intel build

Yeah i got ya here, but i realised, i have a case its full atx size so that can bet taken out would you change anything? And, anyone else got opinions.

Included 16gb of ram and the option to overclock, but you will need to buy a better cooler.

You can save a little bit by going with a non K series cpu.

This is what I would go for or upgrade to the Intel Core-i7 4771 as these unlike the unlocked overclocking options have support for Virtualization Technology (VT-x) like Hypervision and EPT which wil;l be of benefit when running VM's as well as vPro :) the benefit of the Core-i7 is Hyperthreading which is also a nice thing to have but does depend on the operating systems that you use to build your VM's.
