I have just got of the phone from Vodafone and I am fuming. They called me out of the blue, said I was a very highly valued customer, always paid my bills on time but noticed I go over my allocated minutes each month and would like to make me a very special offer. They said I could have 600 anytime minutes and unlimited texts a month for a very special price of £25. They would also give me a free phone, a nokia n78.
I thought this was to good to be true and after TEN minutes talking on the phone to this guy I found out it was. It only clicked with me when he asked whether I was happy to take out this other line. I told the guy to hold his horses, why would I want two contracts with Vodafone , which is what he was offering, he was very clever with his words and from the begininning of the conversation it sounded like this was part of my current contract and they would be giving me this fabulous offer on my current contract. Had I not of been on the ball I would have had another phone line with vodafone, surely there must be some sort of mis-selling going on here.
My Mother-in-law got stung by Vodafone on something similar, an agent calling her up and before you know it she is given some sim cards and charged an extra load of money a month so she can speak to a few numbers for free.
Still fuming now and once my contract is up I will not be with them.
Could I cause a stink with anyone and try and get my contract voided so I canleave them ASAP? As you may be able to tell I am really miffed with Vodafone.
