Vodafone UK getting iPhone it seems

Im happy dont get me wrong, but they have taken far too long to get this coup. They would get a fantastic response if they now offered to the poor people who have renewed their contracts a chance to benefit.

I would still get the iphone from o2 as orange's signal is rubbish, and vodafone's customer service is shocking. (Based on personal experience)

Not that I want one but my gf will be happy so hopefully competition will bring the cost of the unit down.

My colleague at work phoned O2 and asked if they expect this as his upgrade is due now but they reckoned it was Apple that dictate the price as they demand so much for the hardware. They also advised him to wait till Christmas to upgrade but wouldn't give a reason.

Ive had no problems at all, if any thing i have found them very helpful.

Same here, been with them 12 years and not had one single issue in that time.

However I had my O2 business contract for 12 months and bought my way out of it, utterly disgraceful service and the coverage is worse than that.

I've got a Magic on contract from Vodafone with unlimited data except the FUP is 500M a month :( I regularly do that in a day on my ADSL and I don't do P2P, iPlayer etc. I have a 3 data dongle for roaming around but both fail to get a decent 3G signal where I live or at my parents. The 3 dongle's throughput is also much lower than when I first got it due to more people having them I guess :(

Good, i hate 02, 3g coverage is RUBBISH, looking to move back to Vodafone when my contract is up, not that long since i got a 3G on launch day.

I've been with Orange, O2 and Vodafone. My personal experience is that in terms of signal Vodafone and Orange are both good and pretty evenly matched. For customer service I've found Vodafone best (they've got a decent online support forum if you can't phone), orange extremely poor (I used to work in a call center and know when you're being messed around) and O2 below average. Like I said, that's just my personal experience - O2 may have improved since as I left them years ago.

Great news for me! I'm due an upgrade in January :D

I've been with vody for 12 years now and I've had no problems with their coverage or service (including returns) so I'll be sticking with them. In comparison to the other big networks tho, I've always found their pricing and upgrade costs to be quite high... I really had to push them with my last upgrade to get what I wanted in my contract at the same price they were advertising it at?!

Will it be fairly easy to get rid of all the crappy vodafone software (live! etc) that usually comes pre-installed with all their handsets?

Cheers!

Cant see Apple allowing Orange and Voda to mess around with OS to be honest, dont think any of the iphones around the world have any sort of network branding on them.

I guarantee it'll have vody branding on it... their devices always do :(

Hope you're right about the os tho!
