Trying to cancel an order with Vodafone is doing my head in, has anyone dealt with this before? I cancelled my order because it was out of stock, when they'd said it was in stock on the web site, I did this over live chat and have the transcript that it was all cancelled no problem.

The phone then got delivered anyway and they took £179, so I called to arrange to return it 18 days ago and they haven't sent a return pack. I'm trying to call them today and none of the advisers seem able to do anything without a phone number.. I haven't opened the phone..

I've been hung up on twice and passed around to random people who cannot help at all, they claim to be speaking to someone then transfer you to another random person who doesn't know why you are calling. Then they transfer you to a line that says press 1 for crystal or 2 or siebel..... Are they actually being paid to just stop you being able to cancel??

Sorry to hear that

Vodafone are a joke of a company, yet nobody told me until it was too late  Now I have problems myself, everyone is telling me how bad they are. Funny that.

I can't wait to leave, terrible network, terrible customer service, and they charged me extra for failing to pay my first month by direct debit, even though I filled in all the online forms  seems you have to login online and tick a box....again, nobody tells you.

My only saving grace was getting the £105 quidco cashback, and since I get free spotify (which i used to pay £10 for) it's a bitter pill im able to swallow for the next 12 months

The worst thing is when I cancelled I ordered another phone from Vodafone on same very expensive contract, but through another website who had phones in stock, so even when this one is cancelled I will be stuck with them, but right now I am paying them twice!

Just make sure you login to the customer portal and ensure direct debit is setup. It's off by default, despite you filling in the direct debit forms.

If you don't do this, they will hit you with a charge.

Vodafone are a joke. I tried one night the same as you to speak to somebody about my cancellation. 4 and half hours and spoke to 7 different people who after going through my story, said they couldn't do anything and they were the wrong department and you get transferred somewhere else.

The sooner Vodafone goes bust the better it will be for all of us.

oh and another thing, expect lots of sales, insurance and ppi calls. Vodafone sells your number to lots of companies.

I've never had so many until i switched to vodafone. Funny thing was, they were the first ones to call me on my new number lol

How did they take the £179? can you claim it back through your bank? Bet they'd get in touch with you ASAP when they want to chase you for the money ;)

When I had trouble with VF a few months ago, I sent an email to [email protected] (following the advice from another member here) and I had my issue resolved within a few days. Not ideal that it takes emailing the CEO to get a relatively simple problem fixed, but it seems to do the job!

Aye if you cancelled the order and have proof then they have no authority to take that money. speak to bank and have a charge back done also email CEO.

they'll sharp be in touch then ;)

This is a great idea actually, and really works.

Same thing with BT. Had a nightmare with them for months. Emailed the CEO and the very next day had loads of engineers at my house, and about 10 phone calls from various people making sure I was sorted.

I finally got through to someone who was really helpful, the first person in Oct had processed return for wrong phone and not filled it in right. They had me open the nice new 6s plus 128gb and put the sim in just to tell them the phone number.. sadly as it was now over 14 days they couldn't process the return so spoke to someone who could and transferred me..... BACK TO AUTOMATED SYSTEM! Aaaaaargh

I think I might have to resort to that also, as they have been overcharging me by about £10 every month since July, and despite being told almost every month that it will be sorted out, it still hasn't been! :(

After a few months with them I got inundated with calls from their "authorised" partner(s) like at one point 4-5+ an hour 18 hours of the day - first time I complained IIRC they refunded me £10, it stopped briefly then started again, complained again and they gave me a month refund and "said" they'd refund me any month it happened in the future but strangely I've not had a single call of that nature since.

Well, I think the helpful person followed through when I got cut off as the return pack is now being sent, as I was very abruptly told by the "customer service" department when I explained it all again... I will believe it when I see it though.

I only got a return pack (a pre-paid SD envelope) when one of the CEOs underlings sent it Special Delivery in a jiffy bag with my address handwritten on it. The return address was Vodafone HQ in Newbury rather than their distribution centre or wherever.

So, don't hold your breath for the automated one. :p

Lost data connection after porting to Vodafone. 5 days without Internet on my phone when I should have unlimited data plan. Their support cant do anything but to do same steps over and over.
Anybody can suggest me what to do?

Surely they are in breach of contract so you can cancel. You have held up your end by paying the monthly fee, they haven't by not providing you the agreed services.

Having an absolute nightmare with Voda AGAIN. I honestly wish they stopped offering me deals that were £15-20 better than elsewhere.

Went to Europe. Eurotraveller was 'activated' but charged me anyway. Straddled my billing periods. First month recalculated, no problem. Second month? Recalculation rejected. Sent to another department. Nothing. Absolutely useless. Emailing CEO with a full sob story now. I'm owed a £54 credit and despite all staff agreeing this is the case (apart from the recalculation department!) nobody can do this.

Ah, just checked, recalculation has just been credited :o
