Is there a way to get a copy of a voicemail recording? I have asked '3' if it's possible to download / copy a voicemail welcome message, but they simply said "No"
It's just that my son was killed in an accident in 2006, one of the few voice recordings we have of him, is his voicemail welcome, but I am paying a monthly rental for this phone simply for his voice.
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?
Thnx in advance

Play on loudspeaker and use a microphone?

Also if your phone (or borrow one which does) has a normal lineout (the ones you'd use a standard headphone on) then should be able to get a good quality recording.

edit:

In fact if its a welcome message, I'm sure someone on here could do it for you if you don't pick up when they ring. I'd offer but I don't have the right cable with me.

Thankyou for the answer , if anyone could help with that idea I would be grateful, I am paying '3' quite a bit over the years to keep this voice 'activated' !

if someone has a 3.5mm male to male cable and the headphone adapter for the phone they use then they should be able to get a full quality recording using there pc/laptops line in.

the other way would be to record it via loudspeaker and pc/laptop microphone. i could do this method for you but im not sure what the quality would be like

If any of the previous suggestions aren't sufficient then I'd recommend e-mailing/writing a letter (for more effect) a higher up person in their customer services department. Emphasise how much this means to you and your situation and I am sure someone will be keen to help you out. Being nice and empathy will go a long way imo.
