VoIP / landline providers

If your phone supports WiFi calling then it won't need to depend on the signal. Dad is also with 3, almost no signal at home but thanks to WiFi he can still call with it.
I ditched three anyway as they did away with free roaming in the EU.

Lebara is cheaper, better signal and free roaming.

Is the switch between mobile and wifi calling seamless and automatic?
Some of the older android phones used to ( not sure if they do now) stay on mobile and only switch to Wifi calling if it needed it.

iPhones all use Wifi calling when it has Wifi, i think the newer Samsungs also do this as well.

wifi calling has been a saviour for me, reception in our house it poor so rely on Wifi calling a lot.

Doesn't it depend on the network? I might be making this up but I heard somewhere that Vodafone uses Wi-Fi calling when the 4G network isn't available, whereas an EE device with Wi-Fi calling enabled will use that as its primary connection.

Nope. Voda uses Wi-Fi as soon you connect. I do remember 3 used to stay on 4G then move to Wi-Fi calling as a last resort but I thought that was the android handset I was using at the time (few years back)
