Just bought a few VOIP handsets, and don't quite understand how they'll work, a little confused.
I assume I have to sign up for a VOIP service provider - who is the cheapest to go for?
Can I only call other VOIP handsets or also make cheap calls to landlines? Make lots of calls to Germany, Hong Kong, Netherlands etc. so if I could call cheap landlines would be ideal.
Can any number be assigned to the handset? IE. if someone calls the UK landline number, the call goes directly to a VOIP handset in another country?
Thanks , as you can tell I haven't used them before

Very handy for people who need to call you when you're not in the UK as all they pay is a standard rate number and you don't have to pay to recieve the calls, unlike many mobile providers.
