volt reducing wire?

A while back i saw a adapter wire that reduced the current of fans to 5V, Im sure it was on overclockers but i can't find it do they still do it? I dont want a fan controller and don't want to make my own.

If it's a molex fan, it's really easy to make 5 or 7 volt adaptors from spare 'Y' cables. Yellow and Red = 7V, iirc (12V - 5V), tho it may be the other way round.

Google for it, it's perfectly safe and easy to do

Zalman RC100 (5v)

or

Zalman RC56 (7v)
