Volume Management

Hello,

What is the product to use for volume management on linux? I am used to using things like SVM on Solaris for setting up concatenations, mirroring etc and am looking now to learn CentOS and looking for something similar. I have seen some guides to using LVM2, is this the product of choice?

LVM2 is a progression of LVM - which was the previous standard - so yes.
