They are the holes to put 2 M5x40 screws to mount it to the bottom of the frame.

I paid £1,318.78 delivered from Desktop Machine Shop - it's the larger 350mm bed size.

A think red is a very frequent choice for a voron.
I like the blue better.
Mine would probably be some purple shade of blue as well.
