SSDs can help boost load times. Steam is a b***h to load on a normal HDD personally, I find it a lot faster on an SSD. Game time loading will be a lot quicker as well, as games will need to load things up such as texture packs from the drive every now and then.

steam wont fit though its 400gb? so what do you suggest i do.

i guess OS + BF3? :D

Morduant Short Mezzo 2 with Cambridge audio DAC & NAD AMP.
seems SSD Is winning so far. will it really make a difference though,
Bootup obviously but wont help games or steam?

Perhaps you don't need speakers lol. Out of curiosity. How do you connect it to your PC.

I'm always looking for tips on that.

I have an Asus xonar ds which I connect to my Sony STR-DN1000, I have Canton Movie CX speakers attached. Looking for the best setup... not exactly blowing me away with clarity! Can't notice a difference between flac and mp3 at the moment and surely with that equipment I should.

P.S. Stick with the raptor!

Spend the £200 on a day/night out... or go away to a hotel for a night with your friend/girlfriend.

i have a cash in the bank to do that when i want easily. i could go on a 3 month hoilday with spending money and still be able to live happily.

but i can use the PS3 cash as a free upgrade!.

the speakers are setup on the mac which is my HTPC as it were.

3.5mm jack to optical (the jack is optical)
DAC to AMP > Speakers

TV & Imac are connected to the DAC

TV is Connected to the PC Via HDMI From 430GT so sound is through is if required which then sends signal to the DAC then to the AMP Speakers

:)
