Vote for the next Barbie to be a computer engineer!

I see this as helpful for my future perversion when I'm inevitably in some dead end IT job in my 30s. This might encourage more women to go into that sort of crap. Sure the target age for this toy is 6-7 year olds, but when I'm 35 they'll be like 23. Score.

According to Lauren Dougherty, director of Barbie marketing for Mattel, voting for the Computer Engineer Barbie became viral amongst female engineers and other women in the tech industry, so much so, that many, many votes also poured in for a Computer Engineer career for Barbie.

I'm curious...

i) She actually thinks only women voted.
ii) She's a feminist and therefore doesn't consider men at all, so it never crossed her mind.
iii) She realises that an unknown but probably large proportion of the votes came from men, but is putting a spin on it for marketing reasons.
