I'm trying to get a VPN sorted but have no access to my router to port forward. Is there any way of using a VPN without port forwarding?:)

Will either of them give me full speed uploading and downloading or do they all go through the Teamviewer and logmein servers?

Ah ok thanks.:)

I've just tried openVPN but for some reason although the GUI version opens to the icon box I can't open it to actually type in any details.

Using Win 7 x64 and the openVPN community software downloaded from openVPNs site.

I tried teamviewer two days ago to connect to my pc from work and it worked great, once i stopped my torrent uploads of linux isos, the performance increased even more and it supports multiple monitors, it also stayed connected all day.

Do you know how teamviewer works ? it must route something through the teamviewer network, as it uses those unique ids. Also what is stopping say a teamviewer administrator from using the included password and connecting to my pc ?

I made a custom password but it looks like the other one was still valid.

A central Teamviewer server is used to establish a connection between the two clients.

The client password is stored locally and not on the Teamviewer server.
