VPN on RT AC87U - help

Hm I thought it would

Tunnelbear changes the icon and that actually unblocks the sites also
 
Without knowing what the full configuration of the firewall is it's hard to tell. Odd that tunnelbear works. Can you remember what VPN server settings you used?
 
I'd change it to TCP since you're connecting over WAN.

You need to change 'Direct clients to redirect Internet traffic' to on/yes, it should work then.
 
Fantastic, seems to be working now

TCP throws an error though, it does not allow me to export the configuration, so I have to put it back to UDP

Hmm odd. See how it goes for a few days but good that it's working.

It's exactly what I did in my last job to browse what I wanted to. :D
 
Another "problem"

I am trying to access other PCs on the network via the VPN so I can do in home streaming (or at least try) but more importantly access files

In network browser I cannot see any of the PCs that are online on the network

Push LAN to client is enabled

Do you have any ideas how I can do this?
 
Looks like the file sharing just randomly started working

What I meant above is some file sharing protocols don't work over VPN, I have had issues in the past. Glad it's working and no problem.
