As a UK citizen, I think it's finally time to get myself a VPN. Yes - I probably should have done this sooner.

I think I've narrowed it down to Nord, Proton, and ExpressVPN based on their no-log policies and their privacy-friendly jurisdictions/living outside the 5/9/14 eyes networks.

Can anyone share experiences, positive or otherwise, with one or more of these three, please?

Am I missing any other contenders based on the above criteria?

TIA for any advice!

I’ve been using Proton for a few years now. I was really happy with the service but recently it seems many of their IP ranges are blocked on varying services. It has become extremely frustrating and I’m likely to change come renewal.

I’m using proton. Seems okay. Paid for a year to trial it. The speeds can seem lacking sometimes though , even set to fastest country. You get a heck of a lot of choice with countries and servers though.

Although I keep getting asked if I’m human in this site now even though I’m logged on haha. :p

Make sure to use TopCashBack you can get 85% off at the moment for NordVPN, think I may have to do this too. Such an idiotic piece of legislation. They really haven't thought this through.

Is it mere coincidence that people ask this when they discover that Pornhub has today introduced age verification? I think not!

The answer is Proton. They do a free account that is more than good enough for most people and they are independently verified not to sell your dirty secrets to Google.

I have been using them for about a year now. They are good and you get extras like email accounts and various apps.

I think this is true for all VPN's.

I routinely use a VPN of some description or other, and Youtube/Google seems to know them all.

You are probably better going for a less well known VPN, if it's an issue. Maybe go on your VPN and search for local one in Canada?

Proton is a freaking nightmare lately, and the second my subscription is up I’m changing.
I did speak to them and they blamed it on everyone else.
