There is an Australian service id like to stream from in the UK.

I am planning on signing up to Nordvpn. As a noob, what kind of service can I expect...will it provide me enough bandwich to be able stream live TV assuming that I have fast enough internet (70mbps)

Too many unknowns to give any sensible answer.

Depending on how proactive the provider is you may find that a VPN doesn't work at all.

Is it something someone could test for you?

Its a paid for service so I doubt that anyone would be willing to try it :p

My broadband is BT based...didn't realise providers blocked vpns.

Looking to use Chromecast so I think it would have to be a solution involving a router...presumably I can set it up so that only the traffic that needs to goes through the vpn

It’s not the ISPs that block them, it’s content websites that need to maintain their geo locks for thinks like licensing reasons. Places like Netflix, bbc etc. Some go to more lengths than others.

Some non EU websites (news shops etc.) are now blocked because of GDPR.

Setting up selective VPN routing can be quite involved. Could you use a different device that’s capable of running the VPN client locally (Fire TV possibly)?

Anyone got any info on KeepSolid's VPN Unlimited? Guys at work are using it on their Android boxes. Not sure what it’s like for, other than iptv.
I have a lifetime subscription
Have had for 3+ years, openvpn setup on my DDWRT enabled router, seems to work as it should(poor download here so no faster than 4oo kbs)so can`t say how slow it would be on a fast connection

Hey guys. Currently using IPVanish but due to working out of country I need to switch for watching netflix/prime.

Express vpn and nord seem to be recommended. Any 1st hand experience with either?

Sponsored by Nord? If you didn’t mention two other providers in your post I could have sworn it was an advert :D.

I do use Nord, not had any major issues. If I sleep my laptop and it reconnects to the VPN then I will need to manually change the server if I want to use iPlayer. I think it’s an iPlayer thing though as other services like All 4 work fine.

That said I also have a PIA account which is also fine except for iPlayer.

I don't use it for iPlayer so I can't comment on that :D I use Nord for US Netflix, didn't have any problems so far.

It mostly happens happens when I have been using iPlayer, sleep my laptop, wake my laptop, VPN reconnects and then iplayer stops working.

If I close the browser, connect to a different server, open a fresh browser and go back to iPlayer it works.

I’m sure it’s an iPlayer thing, they are very anti VPN, everything else works fine.

Do you need to keep trying different US locations till Netflix will work? Tried express vpn last night but couldnt play anything.
When I use it, I just press the United States servers on Nords UI and the VPN as I understand connects to the best server available at that moment. Really didn't have any problems with it so far, I hope it stays that way.

Any deals going on for VPN at the moment? Been using NordVPN for the last year and it seems to have been fine up until 2 months back where my speeds have been terrible

The VPN industry, like the sofa industry, always has a sale on, especially at this time of year. As to nord’s speeds, perhaps investigate the issue, it’s unlikely to be on Nord’s side given the amount of bandwidthnoces they have at various add points, you should be easily capable of getting near line speed with appropriate hardware acceleration/peering.

Hi.. I have this service on Win10 but very briefly.. I was using Nord this year but the sub ended last week. I am planning to go for PureVPN but need feedback on it. Usually all VPN providers put hooking discount on BF days and I just checked their 5 year offer, looks good to me though. Should I go for it?

Edit: Removed the blog site attached earlier. Sorry for that.
