*** VPN Thread ***

Had NordVPN for the last few years. Dont really use it unless I'm travelling an want to watch the F1. Currently in Spain and remembered I've never managed to get (NowTV etc) to work in spain as they know the ip's from VPN's

That was until today.... Just added the dedicated ip add on.. Works perfect now
Spoke to soon... Lasted less than 24hrs...

I've used Torguard for the last 10 years or so, travelled quite extensively in that time and never had an issue, plenty of endpoints. As the name implies; it is also good for downloading Linux ISOs. It's US (but no logs) based which may not be OK for some.

That's the point, he is already abroad. The unifi VPN would allow hom to connect to his home IP and use sky go or whatever he wants while he is abroad..
Gonna need to see some ID to watch that, it's for da kidz

Why not use a ubiquiti router or similar to create your own VPN? I do exactly that for when I’m away from home - I can connect directly to my home router and because of that it doesn’t block it :-)
Hmm, Having a ubiquiti home network that may be the answer. old USG though

No, of course, but if the intended purpose is to access UK content abroad it’ll be perfect :-)
Yup, Thats the intended use.

So... Is there an easy/simpletons way of setting this up. All my unifi stuff came from BBB so I'm using their cloud hosted controller,

You need to setup a VPN server. Teleport may be the easiest way if the USG supports it.

As @alex24 mentioned Teleport is what I use, but not sure if your equipment works with it.

Connecting to a UK VPN when abroad to consume UK content won't work on most platforms now, they require access to location.

Traditional remote access alternative to Teleport. Configure a VPN client on your remote device to connect. Comment on the VPN page of the USG

I have a USG, LT2P being the preferred option for the VPN server within the USG.

I've set up a vpn server within the unifi cloud controller. Its the next bit in struggling with.
As its the older USG-3P teleport isn't available.

So we have s little reprieve. Cyberghost vpn is currently working with now tv.. hopefully that'll keep working until I get home and upgrade the USG
