Hello

I'm looking in to the idea of renting a cheap VPS from OVH and then having Open vpn or softether installed and running it as a vpn server.

I would need different dedicated ip's in the uk and I see that OVH offer VPS geolocation for £1.69 each.
This is so I could attached each separate dedicated ip to a different computer ( virtual machine ) .

At the moment I use a paid VPN service dedicated ip's but certain site i need to access I can't and other times it can time out. Hence the reason i'm looking at this option .

Is this something that can be done if it isn't is there a way it can be please ?

Thank you for your time.

Are you trying to bypass geo restrictions on streaming sites? If so then check carefully as some providers blacklist entire block ranges. We have several AWS VPN servers in the cloud for work in different region. Can’t stream IPlayer when connected to the UK ones and can’t stream US Netflix when connected to the US one.

Yes it to access uk sites really from within the uk but each virtual machine requires a separate dedicated ip address pretty much what i do now with the paid service i use but it's not always great.

So i was hoping to run on VPS and have 9 dedicated ip's running off open VPN and then assign each virtual machine one dedicated i to use and ?

Thanks.

You've been a slightly vague, so perhaps this may not be appropriate to your situation, but why not avoid routing streaming traffic over the VPN in the first place? The whole basis of a paid VPN service means you share a public IP with other users, this is what causes issues with streaming services. Either that or look at a more suitable provider?

I do use a dedicated ip now from my provider but i know for a fact they share them even though they say they don't . If you don't mind i'll drop you a message in trust if thats ok ?

Thank you.
