VR choice... crazy

just getting into Vr having tried my mates CV1 and managed to pick up a whole kit for £130 delivered. Is it worth spending that bit more for a brand new Rift S though? I was really impressed with robo recall on the CV1.

You've got yourself a hell of a deal there, there's no real reason to upgrade to the Rift S if you don't mind setting up the sensors, I'd recommend instead of buying a Rift S, to buy a third sensor; it'll really help tracking.

Thanks I did think it was a great deal to get started with and then if I find it's not gathering dust a few months down the line look at newer tech.

Did you run the compatibility checker on your system to see if it will run the Rift?

That's a great price and is very tempting. Just remember though you don't get the free software (about £120 worth) and you probably will need a third sensor.

Personally, and I have both the Rift and Rift S, I would pay £400 for a new Rift S over a second hand Rift with only two sensors. Even at £130. The Loss of Warranty and free software with buying the second hand Rift, combined with the massive increase in visuals and simplicity of use with the new Rift S. Easily worth £270 for me.

Yeh I ran the checker and I'm good. My pc is not amazing by any standards but still an I5 6400 with 16GB ram and a GTX1080 so should be okay I hope. I see the 3rd sensor is cheap on ebay but will wait and see how I get on with two so far, I think when I tried it at my mates it was only 2 sensors and seemed great.

I'm still seeing the Koss KSC75 for under £19 delivered on the rainforest. I ordered mine on the 9th and have just received them this morning as they come from the USA.
