Ah ok yer i was worried maybe redundency or divorce or something.
glad its just steam frame realted haha

I've not been using my headset for a little while, but I go and have an op next Monday, that should help to make things comfortable.

Yup, all down the Valve and the potential that the Steam Frame could offer........................depending on the price :)

What about you, do you feel similar about the Frame..?

im 80% sure i'll make the move. some point next year, cost will dictate though.

i like my quest but i dont like Meta. thats not to say valve are any better, but it'll help consolidat my library in one location. the main reason i have my quest 3 is because of the socal nights we run and group games.
i dont see any issues with having a spare headset just in case either, i might consider giving it to a friend.

ah, sorry. I meant that with the Steam Frame being a potential to consider I would not wish to build up my Meta library any further thanit is already.

There could be choices ahead :)

I appreciate your thoughts, thanks

If the Frame works as Valve is suggesting it will, then you will be able to port your Quest games to the Frame. So most games on the Quest store will be playable on the Steam Frame.

I've already been prioritizing Steam versions of Quest games, and even re-buying some Quest ports on Steam for a while now. That's partly for future compatibility but also because so many games on the Quest platform (even Quest 3) are performing really poorly with muddy textures, low, inconsistent frame rates and rendering at low resolution.

You look at games like RE4 VR on Quest 2 and it shows that you can get good graphics at native resolution and a smooth framerate, even on low-end Quests, but it seems that few developers can manage that even on Quest 3.

Would the PCVR/Steam version of this not be better for the graphics POV, especially given someone said last night that the game stuttered on standalone..

It's a different game. The PC version is quite old and is basically a set of standing minigames based on the first Batman games.
It's still a good experience, and has some great graphics, an interesting story, and the original Kevin Conroy voice acting.
