Hi

it might be a silly question. I wanted to go back into vr gaming.
What headset would be the best for me at the moment. I wear glasses which are quite wide.
I used to have 1st playstation headset and didn't have problem with that. i tried oculus rift s for a while and that was ok.
i wanted to buy meta quest 2 but i tried one in my mates house and my glasses do not fit into it :/ i am not talking about the "depth" .. its the width that is the problem

are there any options? is used rifts s my only option?

Quest Pro has a completely open faceplate and is very glasses friendly. It is however expensive. Alternately wait for Quest 3 and see how that is.

If you can afford the extra 60 quid ish (and your prescription allows it) just get some prescription lenses for your headset. Wearing glasses can get quite uncomfortable even in a headset that has the room

where do you get them?
I wear glasses and have no problem with them using the PSVR2
both versions of ps vr are much bigger than quest so no problems there.. but ps vr2 doesn't work on pc..
i want to play HL Alyx

@Chaos666 may i also suggest considering "VR Optician" for prescription lens inserts (google it). I've had several pairs from them with no problems. Use this coupon VRFLIGHTSIMGUY for 5% off.

Another vote for lens inserts. IMO very much worth it. Regardless of the vision benefits, they also act as lens protectors for the headsets lenses and prevent the potential for glasses lenses to rub against the headset lenses and result in scratches, which I had with my CV1

i wear glasses and tried a quest 2 and pico 4 without problems (just make sure you buy protectors to clip onto the lenses, i can link to them if needed)

if you want to really get into VR (wirelessly) wait for the quest 3

Just got lenses from VR Optician in Germany and took about a week to get to me from placing order.

So much better, and no fear of lens scratch.

They shipped with UPS and it was problem free.

hmm thank you for all the advice.
My problem is i know its probably going to be the same as last time i got vr.
I'm gonna play for a few months and then its going to collect dust for god knows how long :/
I am not sure if i want to spend more money for lenses etc..
i have to rethink this ..

Depends on the size of your glasses. Do you have Diedry Barlow's or Heinrich Himmlers?
well... as i said .. i just tested against my friends quest 2 and they do not fit.

I run hot and cold on VR depending on mood etc, but I still use it weekly due to the social hangout crowd, great fun. You'd obviously be more than welcome!
