Hello All,
I want to build a new VR capable PC, I'm confused about the GPU and RAM clock speeds and what it means to best performance,
There are some conflicting points of view on Google so what I would like is clear definitive advice,

I wanted to get the AMD Ryzen 3900X 12 core 4.6Ghz processor.
Both the Vengeance and Dominator Corsair RAM state they're 'RYZEN OPTIMISED' is that just sales faff, should I go for the higher speed Viper steel RAM?

Will the following set up work and be good enough for the top VR games?

Patriot Viper Steel 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-35200...Stock Code MY-103-PA.

Any advice or tips for building a VR PC would be greatly appreciated, I became hooked on VR after trying it a while ago, lockdown has given me time to research but I want to be sure of what I buy as I know it's going to be expensive,

Many thanks,

Pete.

Ryzen can take advantage of higher speed RAM. But all in all, you won't see a difference between the ones you listed in games. What is really important is to get a powerful GPU. Im not familiar with AMDs, but for green team, anything upwards of RTX2070 will be a good choice,

Which VR kit are you intending on getting because that also makes a difference.
If just a Quest 2 you dont necessarily need a powerful computer to use it via Virtual Desktop or usb link.
Whereas if its something like a Rift then more powerful the better.
