Regarding Virtual Super Resolution, does anyone know why it says 'Not supported' for me in my Radeon settings. I have a Fury X paired with Acer XR34 freesync monitor. Is it the card or monitor or what? Is there some settings I can change to make it available?

I know for recent games the card couldn't cope with more resolution anyway but it would be nice for the older games...

It's partly why I was glad to send my 2560x1080 monitor back. I'm not sure why it matters when you a 3440x1440 monitor though, It's not like AMD have anything that can run games well enough at a higher 21:9 res.

That's only the case for games released in the last 2-3 years. Anything older and the Fury X can run the games well into the 100s. The likes of the Bioshock games for example.

You need to stop listing to nonsense Linus comes out with and take a step back. He's running a Fury X, dx12 games fly along nicely on that hardware and he can comfortably get decent frame rates in demanding dx11 titles by adjusting few settings.

I think it's more to do with that he'd have liked to VSR the res up a couple of notches on older games, but was obviously not possible.

Sorry I don't watch that site but you clearly do so it may be time to take your own advice, Unless this is a do as I say not as I do scenario :D

For older games yes but 90% of my gaming will be on modern titles so theyre the games that'll matter going forward along with yet to be released games.

Someone who can read :D

I'm currently on my old monitor again and my finger hovers over the 38" LG monitor due this year every time I'm on the store page but I need to make sure Vega comes through first as my Fury won't like running 3840x1600.

To be fair my fury is doing better than I expected with the lg 38", had to drop 1 or 2 settings for rise of the tomb raider but gears of war 4 and doom are flying along but like you Im waiting for vega

Nice move, Good result for you :) I can't imagine you're able to keep modern titles in the freesync zone though, Roll on Vega.

Yeah I think it's do-able with a few settings being dropped. It's only 20% more pixels than 3440 res (6mill roughly). I'd run it happily enough :)

Tbh if I didn't have my X34 setup I'd snap up Old Gamer's XR34 and buy a Fury/X tomorrow!! :D Never ever had a problem with single AMD cards tbh, mGPU is where they've been falling down.

Big Vega is gonna be a niiiiiiiice upgrade for that LG
