Is it generally considered a good or bad idea to use vsync these days?
Back when i used to play quake 2 on a crt it was a big no no as it limited your fps which in turn made certain jumps and tricks impossible. With TFTs these days is it still the case?
I have an OcUK 24" monitor and 8800GTX. Playing TF2 on full settings 1900x1200 the fps seems really high, over a hundred yet as i turn the mouse it just looks really choppy. Dont have the problem in warcraft and its not 'ghosting' the image. Tried enabling mfilter but dicnt help.
Does this sound refresh rate related? should i run at a lower res or should i be enabling vsync?
Any tips appreciated.
