congrats on a great choice, need to bin that number plate tho, really re-inforces the "gay hairdresser" image a bit 
I'm on the lookout for a weekend car myself next year, would love an s2000 but it's probably gonna be something inferior
in the £8-10K range and probaly slower bearing in mind the current rate of knots I tend to do ocassionally in my type r

Had a nice run with Gibbo, Scoobs & Para yesterday was

Hope there's no steep inclines where you live
There's always reverse gear
And insurance is a ****, they esp don't like it when you've already written one off
Yeah when I got quotes for S2K pretty much every other car I got prices for was cheaper (M3,M5,111R,Exige,Boxster) etc... I guess its down to their 'rep' and price of fixes when people stack em. In fact the only car I got quoted on that cost more to insure was a MK2 Clio V6
