vtx 7950 "unable to save settings"

I got one of these(V) in the week along with a 3rd monitor, today I got my hands on a mini display port -> dvi cable so I could hook up the 3rd monitor.

2 monitors = working fine
3 monitors = "unable to save settings"

They are hooked up.

1 - mini display port -> dvi
2 - hdmi -> dvi
3 - dvi -> dvi

The box says I should be able to hook up 4 monitors happily so what is going wrong here?

All 3 monitors work too just not all at the same time.

Sounds about right, if you didn't pay in excess of £50 for the adaptor its probably not active

I had this same problem. The adapter wasn't active. Bought a proper one and now it works fine. You can get one for around 20 pounds.

I guess that's another benefit of the 670. You can run 3 monitors without any adapters.

Should I be ok with this setup?

mini dp -> dvi *active*
mini dp -> dvi
hdmi -> dvi

or

mini dp -> dvi *active*
mini dp -> dvi
dvi -> dvi

Apart from the lack of being active it seems to work so no point in binning it, lack of a spare dvi cable too.
