**VTX3D ATI HD 7850 NOW EVEN BETTER VALUE - FREE DIRT 3 PC GAME!**

How does this card compare to the Shapphire or MSI FrozR?
Was wondering if worth paying the extra for non reference cooler? Also is the MSI worth the extra £15 over the Shapphire?
I currently have GTX460 cyclone edition, really like this as runs cool and silent

Sapphires don't seem to be as good at overclocking compared to the VTX or MSI.

I want to swap mine (sapphire) for the MSI personally.

Yup they are very short, the stock cooler ones like the VTX/Powercolor more so than the other brands as their 3rd party coolers are actually longer than the cards :D

MSI replaced the Cyclone cooler with the Twin Frozr cooler, its very good.

I had the MSI 460 with the Cyclone, then the MSI 560Ti with the Twin Frozr II, and then the MSI 7850 with the Twin Frozr III.

All have been great cards, and the Twin Frozr's are even quieter than the Cyclone cooler so you shouldn't have any complaints. ;)

Shame, I got mine yesterday, but without a voucher. I think my order got changed and shipped the morning of the 7th to one of these and that may have been before the vouchers. Shame as I don't have the game so BF3 is my only showcase of DX11 in a game.

Ohh sounds good and I see you have a decent overclock on that too, you have similer setup to me. I tried overclocking my i5 to 4.5ghz and put my memory at 1600 but had problems. What W7 score ya get at 4.2ghz? (mine is 7.5 at stock and memory 7.6)
Was the 7850 a decent jump from the 560ti.......I'm looking to the side and think this will be my 100'th post and been using Overclockers for quite some years now, so the free delivery might tempt my pocket ;0)

No idea what W7 score I get tbh, don't think i've ever run it :D As for the 4.2GHz OC, thats at stock volts, i just dropped the CPU in the day I got it, slapped it at 4.2 and haven't looked at it since, I really should get round to OC'ing it more at some point :o

The 7850 once OC'd is a massive jump over the 560Ti. 1290 core is a 50% overclock, and at that speed it pumps out some serious FPS. Day to day i've started running it at 1225Mhz core as I can do that at 1.15V, whereas 1290Mhz requires 1.225V, lot of extra volts for not much more performance. Nice to know it can do it though.
