Vulcan Flyover

I was at a wedding at Rossington Hall at the start of June. The hall is just over a mile from the end of the runway at Robin Hood so got a great bonus when the Vulcan popped over the trees making a wonderful racket

Is it going to be at RIAT? I hate RIAT these days but if it's there then so am I. I WILL see this in the air before they take it down if it kills me. Damn work keeps getting in the way though. Last time I was meant to see it was Bournemouth 2014 and it was cancelled very last minute. :(

Work at Waddington so I am lucky enough to see one everyday....Obviously not flying though.

It was nice when one landed here with two Lancasters last year.

XM607 I believe? - the aircraft that bombed Port Stanley airfield back in 1982.

A truly beautiful plane, but every time I see them I just think how much nerve it must have taken to fly something that outdated over the falklands, brave men.

Yes, it will display at RIAT and it is meant to be quite a special display ;)

558's V-Force tour started today. Done the north.
Next up tomorrow is the South.

I'm off to Duxford for a wander. Not been for a couple of years and they've emptied the AAM so the A10 is on it's wheels and so on. Will be nice to see them out of that cramped place.

14:08 is the due time for XH558 to visit the Vulcan and Victor they have there and make a little noise. :D

Sad to see it go, I'm not even British and I love the Vulcan.

For those interested, this is not only a good documentary on the Vulcan, but one of the best documentaries I've ever watched, hands down. I dare you to watch it and not love it :D
