VVTI/VVTLi & VTec Controllers

Its throught an insurance broker called Brentacre. Type in in goolge.

I dont think that the Yaris is a race car, I just think it needs a little more power, just like when people remap their TDI Passats or whatever.

Thanks.

According to the site, they give you a BHP limit to stick within.

Brentacre cover modified cars all makes & model’s on a brake horse power limit basis, which allows the vehicle to be modified up to the agreed B.H.P. limit with all other cosmetic & mechanical changes, at no extra cost, (and unlike others we don’t charge admin fees when you advise us of mid term cosmetic mods).

Not a bad idea actually.

Does it list in your policy that modified items will be replaced like for like, or will they be replaced with OEM items in the event of a claim? I'd say the latter judging by their lenience.

I know but I know my limit and Ive told them what I want to do and they said its fine because they allow a full exhaust system before the limit comes in. They will just charge me an extra £500 a year for a supercharger if I get one.

Someone already has done it but hes only got 140hp theres also a turbo Yairs and hes got 230hp. I know it seems pointless to some of you but if you like the car and just want it to go faster this is what you have to do.

Mods that I have had done have cost me £260. Parts are gonna cost about £1200 fitted so total is still cheaper than buying a 172 or anything.

It wont be anywhere near as good as a 172 either. Thats like saying that building a cardboard caravan is a good idea because its still cheaper than staying at the Hilton.

I think it will be just as good tbh. It wont break down as ofter as a Clio and the running costs of the Clio are higher than my Yaris.

It wont break down

That, our Yaris has had nothing but consumables in three years. Its now 8 years old.

Why are people comparing the car to Clios and the like? Its the next class down in terms of size etc.

However, a 900KG car making 140BHP isn't going to be far off a 182 at 1100KG in out right pace.
