VW Polo's

Hi Guys,

Im looking at buying my first car soon and I like Polo's. I have a budget of upto 3k for the car which is 2000 - 2002 Mk3 Facelift territory from what I have seen.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the differences to the engines were say between the 1.4 60bhp and 1.4 75bhp versions. I know they are all underpowered but im 19 0NCB so I want something cheap to insure for a year or two.

Any help would be appreciated and if anyone has any alternatives then im open to suggestions.

I've got a mk3 pre-facelift

It's a solid little car, well built, handles ok for a small cheap hatch back, gets good mileage and gets me where I wanna go in comfort, not too noisy, obviously it's not gunna set the world on fire but for a first car at 19 (exactly the same position I was in) it'll do the job very nicely.
