1 run only, 13.0011 & no.1 qualifier (come on how close to a twelve can you get and not get it!! )with a fairly strong head wind, then blowing exhaust, well thats what I thought to start off with..
Let it cool down, start it to feel where it was blowing from / it's not, well not the exhaust anyway, further investigation revealed (pulling engine out and starting to strip it!) two cracked barrels, probably down to det. A friend (judgie RNJ Motorsport) turn up later in the day and said "I've some at work", so we go to silverstone get them come back and I start to put back together, also now who I would have been paired up with in first round of elims come and told me to get it together cos I've a bi into the next round as he'd broke his car, this was at about 9pm, 10 pm half back together finished and putting head back on other side and a poxy push rod tube splits - GAME OVER / foiled by a sodding £2 pushrod tube, oh well thems the breaks
