VXR Track day thread

So tickets are coming, mine came today, VXR 8 = :eek:

Hope to get a drive in one of those.

So 5th and 6th is the first dates at Donny, would love someone to post of pics and review of the day.

Edit:

This is whats in the pack, basic but tells you about the track, what you will be doing and the VXR Range.

Got back at 6, great day out loved it, well worth the £95, loved the corsa, had a go in Tom Chilton Astra and Paul O'Neil Corsa.

Yeah went in the VXR8 twice, could have gone in it more but the Corsa was more fun to drive imho.

Car ratio was great, longest I waited was about 1 minute for a car, 28 cars where there and 30 people in the group, took out a Meriva and that was awful to drive round the track.

So it was you then

I was in the yellow group so we ended up doing the track driving at the end of the day was class, the sun came out and it was roasting all the cars had A/C on

Had a good chat with Tom Chilton in the car, while he was doing some crazy moves, said hes got an Astra in blue but better alloys on, spied his Rolex as well, said hes only 1 of 4 drivers in the BTCC who get paid.

I noticed the dynamic Astra's and to be honest the engine and brakes where making funny sounds during the cone test.

I had to go first on the cone test so was a bit nervous as everybody was watching me, did ok on my first run took the right path but second run stalled it when I reversed and tried to turn around, was gutted, the car wouldn't even start after I stalled it, had to wait 30 seconds for it to start up again :confused:

what did u do with yours?

at oulton there was 2 people at the refreshments all the time so someone will put it aside and look after it. Plenty of photon opps.
