im building a loop comprising apogee gtx/thermochill 120.2/swiftech mcp350 with alphacool top/microres

can i get away with just distilled water and a few drops of iodine or do i need an anticorrosive like g11 ?

also its a used thermochill 120.2 but is as new so not had a hard life, im thinking theres no need to flush it as obviously it will have been flushed, what do u reckon ?

i use 25% anti freeze which does stop corrosion and helps thermal transfer and its best to flush the rad to remove any particles so it will not block up the holes in the waterblocks.

Personally; I wouldn't be without Freser One fluid now. Its not all THAT expensive, works wonderfully, and looks good too :D

As the GTX uses an aluminium top I'd still use an anti-corrosive, no matter how many coatings it has.

Worthwhile doing a quick check on the rad to see it it needs a thorough clean or not. Fill the rad about a quarter full with water, put a rag or towel over the barbs and shake it hard in all directions. Pour the water out into a container and look for bits.
