Yes, it's weird and yes, it got fixed by flashing latest BIOS on Gigabyte P55 boards and some other boards as well.

Do you have a 5x00 series ATI card? Those seem to be the only ones affected.

I also have this problem in XP with gigabyte MB and ATI 5xxx gpu, does updating the bios fix this problem and will it erase the Overclock profile not that it works?

BIOS live update sorted problem, and yes all overclocked settings will go when you reflash, so make sure you write all the settings down.

Thanks I will copy them if and when I update the bios if I don't have to send it back that is.
